Difference between online and offline advertising
There are gross differences between online and offline marketing. Basically, online advertising is very cheap. You do not have to spend so much money on advertising agencies who may spend months designing a single ad.
Online ads have a wide coverage. With a few cents, you can reach millions of viewers worldwide but a traditional newspaper ad can only reach a few thousand viewers.
An online ad is highly maneuverable. Within a second, you can change the format, content and orientation of your ads. You do not have to resubmit any tapes, printed matter or video as in the case of traditional adverts. Moreover, online ads are self-managed and you can change your content at your convenience.
An online ad is also easy to monitor and evaluate. With advanced monitoring tools offered by advertising companies, you can determine at a glance whether your online advertising campaign is working or not. In traditional advertising, you may have to recruit an entire research team to interview people and carry extensive surveys to determine how your message is getting across.
